Journeyman Distillery is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Clerk to support payroll and accounting operations across the distillery, restaurant, retail, and events spaces. Financial accuracy and record integrity: compile documents, verify and post transactions, input data into the general ledger with journal entries, perform data entry for vouchers, invoices, checks, statements, and reports, produce financial statements, and conduct periodic account reconciliations. Accurate and timely payroll: process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff; maintain payroll records; ensure compliance with payroll laws; verify timekeeping; handle garnishments and deductions; prepare payroll reports; respond to employee questions; assist with year-end reporting (W-2s, tax filings). Support financial reporting and system maintenance: generate recurring reports, audit data for accuracy, assist with chart of accounts and vendor setup, support upgrades and integrations for inventory, operations, and POS systems, provide data analysis to management, maintain user permissions and system security, document procedures for consistency. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred. 1–3 years of payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience required. Experience with accounting software and ADP payroll preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic office software. Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable and general accounting principles. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-department environment; flexibility for year-end/month-end or special reporting deadlines. Benefits
