Position Summary… Join Walmart as a Senior Manager, Corporate Development and M&A, and play a key role in driving the company’s inorganic growth strategy. This is a high‑visibility opportunity to work on transformative deals across Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club, and Walmart International. About The Team Walmart’s Corporate Development team is a small, high‑performing group that partners with senior leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic M&A initiatives. The team’s mission is to drive value through acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and strategic partnerships, supporting Walmart’s growth and innovation goals. As a Senior Manager, you’ll collaborate with business and functional leaders, as well as external partners, to deliver impactful results.
What you’ll do
Engage with Walmart business leaders to develop M&A strategy, identify and assess potential inorganic growth opportunities, and build consensus.
Develop and manage relationships with investment banking, private equity, and venture capital investors in retail, digital media, supply chain, and emerging technologies.
Lead all transaction‑related financial modeling and valuation analysis to support deal execution.
Manage the diligence process by partnering with internal teams (legal, accounting, tax) and external advisors.
Build presentations for senior leadership that convey effective narratives, outline strategic trade‑offs, and drive executive decision‑making.
Support the Integration/Separation team on post‑close planning and execution.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a strong track record in M&A execution.
Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to analyze complex transactions and present clear recommendations.
Strong relationship management skills, with experience engaging both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of building compelling narratives for senior executives.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Collaborative mindset with a focus on driving results and supporting team success.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field and 3 years’ experience in Merger & Acquisitions, Investment Banking, Business Development, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in Merger & Acquisitions, Investment Banking, Business Development, Engineering, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications Leading cross‑functional teams, Master’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or related field. Mergers and Acquisitions experience.
