Sourcing Buyer – ABB
Join ABB as a Sourcing Buyer in Florence, SC. This role reports to the Procurement Team Lead.
Responsibilities
Purchase materials per technical specifications, price, schedule, and terms.
Align purchasing activities with corporate policies and procedures.
Identify new suppliers with the category team.
Qualify new suppliers with Supplier Quality and Engineering Specialists.
Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms periodically.
Oversee supplier performance (on‑time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues.
Adapt corporate contractual framework to local business needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or technical field AND minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing or related business; OR Associate degree AND minimum 5 years experience; OR High School diploma/GED AND minimum 7 years related experience.
Experience with SAP or ERP.
Knowledge of ABB initiatives related to SAP Ariba and CFIN/FTP.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office (, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Work authorization permitting employment in the US.
