What to Expect
The Production Quality Inspector will be responsible for receiving and confirming defective material. Other responsibilities include diligently tracking parts, troubleshooting, and dispositioning material. Developing relationships with other cross-functional departments to drive disposition of parts and evaluating the concern versus the return.
Shift: 5:00pm-5:00am; Thursday - Saturday; Wednesday - Saturday
What You’ll Do
Perform database transactions to manage the tracking, receiving, storing of failed parts
Systematically marking parts special interest for expedited return to engineers and technicians
Route parts back to Suppliers, Quality Engineering, or Recycling based on guidance and instructions
Maintain data integrity, accuracy and efficiency of defect material throughput and systematically logging information
Provide data input and output reports to assist in driving improvements
Conduct audits and support corrective actions based on defect reason
Disposition defect material and sort material by viewing work instructions
What You’ll Bring
Technical background and troubleshooting knowledge
Strong communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships across various organizations within Tesla
Ability to work independently and keep on task in a fast‑paced environment without direct supervision
Must be detail orientated, reliable, have good initiative, determination, and quality focused
Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive a forklift

Expected Compensation $20.70 - $21.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
