Job Description

Evening Building Operations Manager

Are you someone who enjoys leading a team, creating clean and welcoming environments, and working in a purpose-driven setting? The Missionary Training Center (MTC) is looking for a dedicated and hands-on evening Building Operations Manager to oversee the daily care and event support of our facilities during the evening shift.

In this role, you’ll manage the cleanliness and functionality of assigned buildings while ensuring all events are properly set up and supported. You’ll work side-by-side with your team, recruiting, training, mentoring, and empowering them to meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service. You’ll also ensure proper use of equipment and cleaning materials and provide guidance on safety protocols.

Scheduled Shift:

Tuesday-Saturday 1:30p.m.-10:00p.m.

What You’ll Do In This Position:

Lead daily operations and building care: Oversee cleanliness, inventory, and event setups across 100,000–750,000 sq. ft. of space while managing a labor budget and maintaining equipment and safety standards Supervise and mentor teams: Lead, train, and support a team of 10–150 student and part-time employees to ensure high standards in cleanliness and operations Ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction: Maintain strong relationships with building patrons, address concerns promptly, and manage building-related service requests Support administrative needs: Conduct inspections, assign tasks, respond to safety issues, and remain available for on-call support as needed Develop employees professionally: Provide hands-on mentoring, schedule coordination, and regular performance feedback for both student and non-student employees Drive leadership accountability: Manage time tracking, ensure policy compliance, and help create an environment of professionalism, belonging, and excellence Pursue ongoing personal development: Participate in trainings, workshops, and self-guided learning to improve leadership and technical skills Adapt and support as needed: Perform additional duties and stay up to date on HR and compliance requirements as assigned

Required

What qualifies you for this role:

One year of professional experience in building operations or a similar industry

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree 3 years of building care experience 1-year supervisory experience

A Physical That Includes a Lift Test Will Be Required As Well As The Ability To Meet The Following Working Conditions:

Physical Effort:

Moderate – Physical effort represented by frequent handling of medium weight objects (approx. 20-50 lbs.) and materials, or use of medium weight hand tools. May require climbing and working from ladders or in awkward positions.

Environment:

Frequent exposure to unfavorable conditions such as all-weather, or working in cramped, very dirty, or unpleasant quarters.

Hazards:

Moderate existing or potential hazards
