Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily shuttle transportation schedules between the plant and the yard
Supervise and coordinate drivers, ensuring efficient route planning and timely dispatch
Monitor trailer/truck availability, maintenance status, and DOT compliance
Communicate with customers regarding pickup/delivery statuses and any service delays
Implement and enforce transportation safety protocols and regulatory compliance (FMCSA/DOT)
Maintain operational records including dispatch logs, delivery confirmations, fuel usage, and maintenance history
Work closely with customer service, mechanics, and yard teams to streamline end-to-end logistics operations
Address and resolve transportation issues, such as delays, breakdowns, or driver shortages
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in transportation or fleet management (logistics industry preferred)
Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations
Experience managing drivers and vehicle schedules
Proficiency in Excel and transportation management systems (TMS) is preferred
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required
CDL license or technical understanding of fleet equipment is a plus but not required
