The Clerk Helper is an entry level store position with opportunities for growth within The Save Mart Companies’ family of stores. Clerks help support efficient front-end operations by delivering friendly, fast, and effective customer service to create a welcoming store atmosphere and establish loyal, repeat customers. Key Responsibilities
Provide a remarkable shopping experience by greeting and engaging with customers, offering assistance, and ensuring customers are taken care of. Conduct store sweeps, focusing on front-end and entrance areas to keep floors free of spills or debris for a safe environment. Perform routine cleaning of registers, belts, bags, and shelves; manage trash at check stands. Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and maintain a cart-free lot during the shift. Perform price checks and assist with go-backs, prioritizing perishables; return items to correct locations. Assist Clerks to move lines quickly by bagging groceries efficiently while protecting item quality. Requirements
No experience required Must be at least 16 years old Ability to lift 40 pounds Continuous standing, walking, reaching, and bending Work environment includes indoor and outdoor areas with varying temperatures Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently Ability to provide excellent customer service Strong team players with willingness to learn, work hard, and enjoy the work Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Performs other duties as assigned About The Save Mart Companies
