Corporate Development Overview
The Corporate Development team at Chase is broadly responsible for strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions across Chase's consumer lines of business - Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Wealth Management, Card Services, Connected Commerce, Home Lending, and Auto Lending. These initiatives are critical to Chase's ability to execute on its core strategies and meet the needs of our customers in a rapidly changing financial services ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to develop and lead these strategic initiatives that require careful consideration as well as a relentless focus on execution.
The Banking & Wealth Management team in Corporate Development is responsible for strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions within Chase's Consumer Bank and Wealth Management organizations. The team has three primary functions: 1) identify ways to grow and evolve both businesses through third‑party strategies and transactions, 2) lead and execute on all third‑party initiatives, including evaluation and negotiation of all transactions, and 3) manage ongoing relationships with existing strategic partners.
Job Responsibilities
Support the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of strategic opportunities for our Consumer Bank and Wealth Management organizations
Collaboratively develop our book of work and pipeline of opportunities with the lines of business, including identifying key elements of the strategy, analysis of the competitive landscape, leading diligence, and making recommendations
Support presentations and proposals to senior executives across the Consumer Bank and Wealth Management
Develop and help deliver specific partner proposals with the lines of business, including overall vision, partnership economics, and product integration
Work with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop business cases, deal constructs and other key terms associated with partnerships
Monitor external environment for important competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and share perspectives with key line of business partners
Ensure all deals are executed in accordance with firmwide policies, controls and procedures
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
2+ years industry experience, across financial services and/or management consulting; candidate must have at least two years of work experience
BS degree or equivalent experience required
Thrives as an individual contributor in a fast‑paced, collaborative, team‑oriented, cross‑functional environment
Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Organized, detail‑oriented, with strong project management ability
Able to build relationships inside and outside the company
Intellectual curiosity in fintech industry and ability to learn new subjects quickly
Proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, startups (FinTechs), investment banking, private equity / venture capital, strategic finance, or similar roles
Prior experience in Wealth Management and/or Consumer Banking is a plus

About the Team Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. The Strategy team manages mission‑critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more. Projects are typically team‑based and include close collaboration with senior executives.
