Overview JOB SUMMARY: Oversees NDT department and performs NDT processes of Computed Radiography and Penetrant inspections, including process checks, part preparation/evaluation, and drawing/specification interpretation. Conducts process development, and product/process audits, including inspector training, qualification and certification. Processes, Or Other Delegated Duties.
Responsibilities
Establishes inspection requirements per customer process requirements, including but not limited to purchase orders, drawings, specifications, etc.
Ensure proper sequences of the process before processing hardware.
Procedure development (including techniques, schedule, etc., as applicable), approval, and continuous development.
Creation and upkeep of NDT procedures, and process control records.
Evaluate and document process changes and obtain customer approval when required.
Perform process audits, including NDT processes, products, equipment, and relevant records.
Prepare for and support regulatory or customer audits.
Obtain customer-specific examinations and certifications when required.
Support production with technical issues related to the process, including performing independent verification or witnessing the performance of independent verification.
Demonstrate working knowledge of other NDT inspection methodologies.
Provide or direct training, examination, and certification of Computed Radiography and Penetrant personnel.
Process owner of part washing, vision and hearing testing scope and administration.
Analyze and interpret manufacturing sketches, routings, product specifications, and quality requirements.
Verify specified dimensions of product or material using standard inspection tools; create work instructions and recommend process improvements.
Set up, standardize, and calibrate NDT equipment.
Prepare and process parts through a Computed Radiography Inspection system and penetrant inspection, including final evaluation and making accept/reject decisions; complete documentation of results.
Successfully complete Level 3 certification examinations in accordance with Ace Precision's requirements.
In coordination with the Maintenance Department, perform preventive maintenance on all NDT equipment and processes.
Proceed with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of and conformity with Ace Precision Quality System work instruction requirements that govern Computed Radiography Inspection.
Qualifications / Certifications Note: Includes required Level 3 certification examinations and related NDT responsibilities as described above.
