Maintains adherence to HITT’s standards of safety Ensures all job processes are followed in accordance with HITT policies Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts with clients Monitors the progress of each project through updated schedules Ensures that the project Quality Control Plan is followed Assists that project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors Ensures proper assignment and evaluation of field personnel both within the project team and throughout the company Identifies and negotiates time extensions where justified and allowed Acquires new work as well as maintaining existing clients Maintains positive relationships with the subcontractor community Ensures timely completion of closeout process Leads the preconstruction and RFP package effort with the help of the Preconstruction Department and/or other company resources Delegates responsibility when necessary to ensure that the project/tasks run smoothly Qualifications
10+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor Prior healthcare construction project experience required A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards Mastery of reading construction drawings; ability to read, interpret, and update construction project-related drawings Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results Knowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities on the project Positive attitude and passion for construction and the industry Clear, concise, and professional communication with the ability to present complex information clearly Initiative and willingness to take responsibility Integrity consistent with The HITT Way and HITT’s core values Commitment to continuous improvement and self-improvement Ability to recognize quality and implement contractual and HITT quality standards Adaptability to a changing environment of technology, design, means and methods Collaborative mindset with people of various backgrounds and styles Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors and vendors Customer-service oriented attitude Ability to coach, train, and educate assistant-level operations team members Maintain and develop client relationships Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task effectively, and discern urgent vs. important work Compensation and Benefits
In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, Section RCW 49.58.110, the base salary range for this position is $148,000.00 - $198,000.00. Compensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types.
