Job Overview
Extra Support (1:1) Paraprofessionals – Full Time – 10 month employee, temporary for the school year. Reports to: Building Principal. Salary: Current Paraprofessional Salary Schedule. Responsibilities
Implements IEP goals under direction of classroom teacher. Establishes and maintains rapport with students. Assists in supervision of students. Follows through with prescribed behavioral management programs. Follows written plans, seeking clarification as needed. Collects and provides objective, accurate data and information to professionals as appropriate. Makes decisions on data collection. Maintains updated records and other clerical responsibilities as assigned. Provides educational related services outside instructional day as available with notice and reasonable accommodation. Paraprofessional certification. An associate degree (60 college credits) or have passed the ParaPro assessment test and have your high school transcripts (or GED). Strong content knowledge of middle level education preferred. Physical Demands
Required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Frequently stand, walk and sit. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus. Standard Requirements
Favorable criminal background check and child abuse registry check for the candidate who is offered employment. Tuberculin test and physical. Mandatory direct deposit of paycheck. Application Procedures
