Sr. Compliance Analyst
Department: Health System Shared Services | Compliance and Integrity
Scope of Position The Office of Compliance and Integrity (C&I) is interconnected with the clinical and business operations of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) and is involved in patient care, teaching, research, hospital operations, and patient satisfaction. OSUWMC Compliance program establishes standards and procedures for all University representatives to ensure and promote compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, healthcare regulations and ordinances as well as enforcing commitment to honesty and integrity in all operations. This unit also is charged with monitoring, evaluating, and revising the program as necessary to conform to the changes in the healthcare regulatory and business environment. This position works closely with OSUWMC Chief Compliance/Privacy Officer, Legal Services and other managers and leaders across OSUWMC.
Position Summary The C&I Compliance Analyst is a highly visible position that interacts with multiple departments, faculty, staff, and patients across Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The Compliance Analyst assists the OSUWMC Chief Compliance/Privacy Officer and Compliance and Integrity, Associate Directors in areas related to compliance activities including but not limited to investigations, monitoring and auditing, staff education, and regulatory identification and adherence. The C&I Compliance Analyst prioritizes and re‑prioritizes frequently, must be able to manage a fast‑paced environment, and uses strong people skills to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and leaders across OSUWMC and the University.
Responsibilities
Investigate compliance issues
Monitor and audit compliance activities
Educate staff on compliance policies
Identify and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience.
Minimum of four (4) years’ work experience in compliance, internal audit, or law firm.
Master’s degree or J.D. may substitute for work experience.
Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
Strong conceptual, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer experience with Microsoft Office products.
High degree of organizational skills including effective time management skills to set/reset priorities accordingly.
