Project Managers/Deputy Project Managers - Highways (Parsippany, NJ)
NV5 currently has opportunities for Senior Highway Engineers/Project Managers to join our Civil Transportation/Roadway Department in Parsippany, NJ. These positions include Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers. We seek motivated candidates with 15+ years of engineering/project management experience, who have a willingness and desire to work in a team environment and supervise project design teams. Our multi-discipline design team approach will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to pursue a path focused on technical management and/or project management, which aligns with their strengths and interests. Responsibilities Lead transportation and civil-related projects, including providing technical oversight to engineering staff Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers and technicians Participate in NJ office senior staff meetings, collaboration, and contribute to overall office performance Manage project budgets and schedules, and ensure adherence to project scope of work Support and train staff in technical management and/or project management career goals Engage in client interaction and community involvement Contribute to the office's leadership and management on assignments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BSCE) New Jersey Professional Engineer (NJ PE) license Experience supervising/managing transportation and civil projects with technical oversight Understanding of roadway/highway design and plan development from conceptual design through final contract documents Familiarity with TAP and SRTS projects through NJDOT Local Aid is a plus Strong communication with clients and community involvement Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams Project management experience including budgets and schedules; training and support available within NV5 NJ staff Participation in professional organizations and technical societies Compensation Compensation: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year. Base pay offered for this New Jersey based role may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
