Location: Atlanta, GA | Salary: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.

Prepare traffic engineering capacity analysis, conduct safety assessments, and identify intersection operational improvements.

Design and prepare construction drawings for traffic projects, including signals and ITS.

Apply a broad knowledge and good understanding of principles and practices of traffic engineering.

Solve traffic and engineering problems effectively, communicate clearly, and produce high‑quality technical writing.

Demonstrate reliability, commitment to projects, initiative, and desire to advance knowledge of traffic engineering principles.

Effectively manage tasks and projects, including financial and administrative duties; communicate directly with clients.

Supervise staff.

Required Experience

Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, PTV Vistro/Vissim, and/or HCS software is preferred.

Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.

Experience with Microstation.

Experience with intersection and roadway concept development; Georgia DOT experience with standards and design process is a plus.

Experience preparing traffic impact studies.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain a PE within one year is required.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 4 years of related professional experience, or 8 years of equivalent professional experience.

Participation in continuing education and professional development programs.

Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.

Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Deep technical knowledge in the specific field of the project.

Expertise in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.

Effective problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong negotiation skills to manage multiple contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.

Strong comprehension of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

Education And/or Work Experience Preferred

Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry).

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required

Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
