Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Catawba College in the search for a Major Gifts Officer. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Major Gifts Officer will cultivate transformational partnerships that help Catawba achieve its vision: "GOOD goes FAR." This role requires a vision-driven professional committed to developing strong donor relationships and implementing strategies for soliciting major gifts, including outright and deferred/planned gifts. The selected candidate will develop and nurture a portfolio of rated prospective donors who can make a significant gift to support initiatives that create a lasting impact across our community. The Major Gift Officer will serve as a Catawba ambassador, building authentic connections that drive meaningful change and demonstrate how good goes far through intentional partnership and shared purpose. Ranked as one of the best colleges in the south, Catawba offers 70 academic majors to approximately 1,300 students representing 34 US states and 19 foreign countries. Students are instructed by nearly 90 full-time faculty, more than 83% of whom hold the highest degree in their field. Responsibilities

Develop and nurture a portfolio of rated prospective donors and implement strategies for soliciting major gifts, including outright and deferred/planned gifts. Cultivate transformational partnerships that support Catawba College’s initiatives and impact across the community. Serve as a Catawba ambassador, building authentic connections to drive meaningful change. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of higher education experience or equivalent experience in a related field (Catawba College will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds).
