Position

The Traveling Superintendent (Water/Wastewater) directs and coordinates field labor, subcontractors, equipment and materials. The Superintendent manages the day-to-day construction of the project following the Project Manager’s construction methodology and means, with capability to supervise a project scope of 50 million dollars. Responsibilities

Safe, effective and efficient operation of the project. Facilitates new employee orientation and experience for self-performed or subcontracted work. Maintains knowledge of the project start-up guide and quality assurance program. Helps read and build a 1–2 month look-ahead work schedule. Schedules labor, materials and equipment; knowledgeable on EWM procedures. Experience with purchasing project construction materials. Reads and understands contracts with owners and subcontractors. Develops and maintains relationships with owners, designers, fire and building code officials. Leads subcontractor and workforce meetings. Sets sequence and directions for field and subcontractor work forces; interfaces with subcontractors. Assists PM on estimating change orders. Manages major work activities for subcontractors and self-performed work to meet project requirements. Prepares and sequences site logistics within budget and schedule restraints. Foresees and mitigates schedule conflicts with subcontractors and self-performed work. Proficient with project quantities and cost control projections; reads and updates labor productivity reports. Recognizes and mediates on-site labor issues; payroll time sheet experience. Completes jobsite Daily Reports; proficient in scheduling work through modeling. Participates in Mentor Training Program. Safety

Demonstrates knowledge and implementation of SafeRing policies and procedures. Models safety as the top priority; leads by example. Attends and participates in Daily SafeStarts and leads weekly site safety meetings. Leads Stretch Don’t Strain Warm Up; implements permitting as applied (Excavation, Hot Work, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, Scaffolding). Participates in preparation and development of PHDs and revisions to existing PHDs. Leadership

Fosters fellowship among field trades and management. Demonstrates strong verbal and non-verbal communication and listening skills. Solves problems and mentors ACI apprentices; sets productivity pace and participates in employee recognition. Management and Additional Duties

Delegates tasks, leads by example and mentors others. Supports the matrix organization; meets schedules and deadlines and maintains attendance. Ensures client satisfaction through professional handling of issues; supports cross-functional collaboration. Assists others to accomplish work outside normal duties; participates in LEAN initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; 10 years of construction experience as a Supervisor. Experience managing construction of a water/wastewater treatment facility. Experience supervising both union and non-union workforces is preferred. Proficient with MS Outlook and other Microsoft Suite applications. Candidates may permanently reside anywhere in the US but must be willing to travel to project locations across North America for extended periods (up to 85%). Growth Opportunities
