$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr About The Unit/Department
The Operations and Finance division provides financial, procurement, and administrative services to support agency-wide operations. The Procurement Analyst (College Aide) reports to the Director of Procurement and Contract Management / Deputy Agency Chief Contracting Officer (DACCO) and supports processing procurements for services, goods, and construction in compliance with funding rules to meet CFB goals and objectives. Responsibilities
Procurement: research market trends, create and administer purchase orders and requisitions, manage lifecycle of procurements, and ensure appropriate methods and compliance with funding rules. Procurement management: track vendor agreements, analyze procurement processes and metrics, manage data (e.g., pivot tables). Process procurements for services, goods, and construction in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain and update procurement status reports and databases. Prepare and analyze procurement data; assist with managing and tracking purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts. Support Requests for Proposals (RFP), bid solicitation, and award processes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure contractual agreements are met and maintain strong vendor relationships. Assist Operations and Finance staff with special projects and other related duties. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Preferred Qualifications
Entry-level experience with an interest in procurement and data analytics. Current college student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Public Administration is highly preferred. High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and pivot tables; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication/presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines; strong analytical reasoning and execution of sound judgments. Experience with data entry and handling large data sets; ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. Essential Skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with external vendors and staff at all levels. Meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic. Excellent analytical, writing, oral, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to various work styles. For Assignment Level I: Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school; employment conditioned on continuing as a student. For Assignment Level II (Information Technology): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school with the required IT-related coursework and 9 semester credits in an acceptable field. For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school with IT-related study and 9 semester credits; appointments made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications. Special Note: Maximum tenure for all Assignment Levels is 6 years. Residency requirements and related city policies apply per NYC guidelines; consult the agency for details.
