Job Description
Pay Range: $80.33hr - $85.33hr
The Procurement Advisor is responsible for negotiating and purchasing goods and services, developing procurement strategies, and managing supplier relationships.
This role ensures compliance with corporate policies, drives cost savings, and supports business objectives through effective sourcing, contract management, and project leadership.
Responsibilities
Support the Laboratory Operations Manager with purchasing and systems management to ensure operational excellence in accordance with procedures and governance.
Assist in negotiating pricing, contract terms, and conditions; prepare contractual documents and binding agreements.
Integrate program, customer, product, and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation, and contract strategies.
Develop procurement solutions to support customer requirements consistent with company goals.
Support senior-level Procurement Agents with project management activities, supplier strategies, and hardware development processes.
Ensure supplier readiness and performance, monitoring production capability and delivery requirements.
Contribute to process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop mitigation plans for risks.
Participate in supplier risk assessments and performance reviews.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Employ project management tools to analyze and manage supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and schedule.
Negotiate favorable terms, discounts, and long‑term contracts for technical equipment and custom‑engineered products.
Maintain understanding of market trends, cost structures, and supplier technology developments.
Review purchase orders and contracts for policy compliance and manage supplier performance issues.
Ensure procurement policy compliance and support category management best practices.
Identify and implement continuous improvement and innovative procurement solutions.
Establish strong business relationships with internal and external partners.
Protect physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets by following corporate policies.
Requirement/Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Typically five or more years of experience in negotiating and purchasing.
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis, activity‑based costing, and supply chain methodologies.
Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
Strong contract negotiation and documentation skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects with various organizational leaders.
Experience
Seven or more years in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.
Experience with procurement, contracts, and RFX processes for private telecommunications systems design, engineering, installation, and support.
Preference for experience in wireless/cellular networks and private telecommunications systems.
If no Bachelor’s Degree, must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
