to support significant growth in the U.S. market. The company has a long-established history and is backed by a large, financially strong parent organization. With multiple U.S. plants and aggressive expansion plans, the organization is building a
world-class sourcing team
to ensure supply chain resilience and cost competitiveness. The
Strategic Sourcing Lead
will act as a
subject matter expert (SME)
within assigned commodity categories, playing a key role in developing sourcing strategies that directly impact profitability and operational success. This position offers visibility, ownership, and the chance to influence corporate sourcing strategy in a high-growth environment. Responsibilities
Commodity Leadership : Develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned categories such as
steel, aluminum, MRO, fasteners (nuts, bolts, gaskets), castings, and manifolds .
Supplier Management : Identify, qualify, and manage supplier relationships; lead negotiations, contracts, and performance reviews.
Strategic Alignment : Partner with buyers and cross-functional teams to align supplier selection and execution with corporate sourcing strategies.
Cost & Risk Management : Drive cost-saving initiatives, use indexed pricing models, and implement risk-mitigation strategies.
KPI & Metrics Development : Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure sourcing success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with operations, engineering, finance, and quality teams across multiple sites.
Travel : Engage suppliers and visit plants (up to 40% travel required).
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a
strategic thinker
who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
5–7+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
Strong background in supplier negotiations, cost modeling, and commodity strategy.
Ability to influence across multiple sites without direct authority.
Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Professional certifications (CPSM, CIPS, APICS) preferred.
