The Mobile Service Technician will maintain diesel equipment by completing inspections, preventive maintenance, correcting vehicle deficiencies, making adjustments, and keeping detailed records. What you need to succeed (Skills):
Perform duties at customer locations and/or outside the company facility Repair and maintain customer vehicles, including D.O.T. inspections, oil changes, minor repairs on tractors, trailers, and trucks Maintain mobile department vehicles and equipment Record repair information and complete inspection forms Perform duties in the main shop when mobile work is unavailable Conduct inspections and diagnostics to determine vehicle condition Complete preventive maintenance, upgrades, corrosion control, and winterization Verify vehicle performance through test drives and adjustments Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle standards Maintain vehicle appearance and records Operate and troubleshoot shop equipment Participate in educational opportunities to stay updated Accept ownership of tasks and seek opportunities to add value Perform other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Tooling and supply management Mechanical inspection skills Technical understanding and attention to detail Dependability and thoroughness Verbal communication and documentation skills Inventory control and job knowledge Education and Experience:
