The Production Supervisor in Franklin, WI will be a key stakeholder for a new 340,000 square foot conversion facility and will play an integral part of Saputo’s strategy to optimize its cheese network in North America. Responsibilities

Directly supervise production employees to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas; plan, assign, and direct work; address and resolve product and employee concerns. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws. Works with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review, and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant. Ensure proper procedures are in place for production efficiency, quality, employee safety, and compliance with state and federal guidelines. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments to machines. Coordinate and communicate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of production run assignments. Use ERP system to complete production data entry and reporting (production results, volume, OEE, downtime by product type and order). Complete and review production/packaging records, cleaning lists, schedules, accident reports and investigations, and other documents. Coordinate and conduct employee training (job, safety, etc.) and monitor performance. Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance and product quality; use CI methods to analyze root causes and preventive measures. Maintain time and production records; collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to meet performance objectives. Provide supervision in scheduling and daily activities; participate in grievances or contract-related activities if a collective bargaining agreement exists; support disciplinary actions with Human Resources. Promote safety programs and policies to reduce incidents and near-misses. Train and instruct employees on production and equipment standards; oversee policy enforcement related to employees. Engage in typical managerial responsibilities: planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating. Adhere to Saputo code of ethics and values. Perform other duties as assigned. You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The Following Experiences, Skills, and Qualifications

1-3 years of supervisory experience in a food packaging environment (preferred). Associate’s degree in Operations Management, or equivalent experience. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures. Proficient with ERP solutions; SAP preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize and pay attention to details. Strong team player and leader with ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. Ability to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees. Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends in support of plant operations. Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents Saputo. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature changes, standing, bending, climbing stairs, and frequent movement around machinery.
