We are seeking an
Assistant Project Manager
to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems within hyperscale data center projects. This role bridges field operations and project management, ensuring mechanical scopes (HVAC, chilled water, pumps, plumbing, fire protection) are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and mechanical construction activities.
Track project budgets, invoices, and change orders related to mechanical scope.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
Participate in site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting.
Review mechanical drawings, submittals, and RFI responses, escalating issues as needed.
Support commissioning and startup activities for mechanical systems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and data center standards.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and meeting notes.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve mechanical design or installation issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.1–3 years of experience in construction or project management, preferably in mechanical systems or data centers.
Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, pumps, plumbing, fire protection).
Familiarity with data center standards and mission‑critical facility requirements.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, project management software (Procore, MS Project), and basic scheduling tools.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
