Commodity Trader (Base Metals / Precious Metals / Ags)
Our client is a global multi-strategy hedge fund with deep expertise across macro, energy, and commodities.
Commodity Trader responsibilities
Trade discretionary and/or systematic strategies across metals and agricultural commodities (LME, COMEX, CME, OTC).
Develop and express macro and relative-value views across curves, spreads, and regional arbitrage.
Leverage fundamental and quantitative signals — including supply/demand models, COT positioning, inventory flows, and macro correlations.
Contribute to broader cross-commodity portfolio strategy within the fund’s global macro and multi-asset framework.
Commodity Trader experience
Trading commodities at a hedge fund, prop desk, or major trading house.
Strong PnL record in base metals (especially copper/aluminium), precious metals, or softs.
Deep understanding of physical supply chains, macro drivers, and cross-asset linkages (FX, rates, energy).
Proficient in data analysis and risk systems (Python, R, or similar a plus).
Ability to integrate quantitative inputs with discretionary insight.
