The position:
The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of repair, troubleshooting and planned maintenance related to production and engineering operations at Air Liquide Advanced Materials.
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $34.00- $43.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Execute assigned planned maintenance activities for chemical processing equipment (tanks, piping, valves, chillers, etc.), rotating equipment (compressors, vacuum pumps), and facilities, utilities, and grounds.
Serve as a subject matter expert for production equipment maintenance, demonstrating best practice techniques for troubleshooting and repair.
Mentor and train maintenance team members in established ALAM maintenance repair and PM tasks.
Document work completion in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Act as the key point of contact for subcontractor site activities, including but not limited to mechanical repairs, scale/calibration activities, rigging, and capital project support.
Complete all assigned training on time.
Understand and follow safety policies and procedures, actively participating in ALAM's emergency response (ER) team, including as an ER entry team member, which requires wearing a tight-fitting full-face respirator.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
7+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in batch chemical, heavy, or high-speed manufacturing industries.
Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-ins.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, equipment specifications, P&ID's, and manuals.
Working knowledge of computer skills and experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
High level of workmanship in rebuilding equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic functions of production equipment in high-purity environments.
Understanding of PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
Ability to medically pass a respiratory and physical test to wear a full-face respirator.
Fitness for duty, including the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Journeyman Millwright
Certified TIG Welder with fabrication experience
Experience with machine shop equipment
High familiarity with vacuum pump and compressor rebuilds
