Lancium is actively hiring Project Managers for two separate West Texas locations. Who We Are Lancium builds gigawatt-scale campuses for AI data centers. We develop and orchestrate all power infrastructure at the campus, including the grid interconnect, behind the meter solar, and large-scale battery energy storage systems. We currently have 5+ Gigawatts of capacity in various stages of development, and our projects under construction today are some of the largest in the world. This is an opportunity for candidates who know they want entrepreneurial experience to build a system, a company and industry, all at the same time. The portfolio is generally the energy generation and delivery infrastructure, and other site utilities. What You Will Do Lancium is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects. This role will supervise EPC contractors, manage multiple work scopes, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives. Key Responsibilities: Single-Site Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders, subcontractors, and site trades. Team Leadership: Manage high-performing teams across Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Power, SCADA, IT, Technology, Commercial, and Site Operations. EPC Oversight: Direct and monitor tier-1 EPC/EPCM contractors delivering HV AIS substations and 3rd-party power integration systems. Controls for Volatile Loads: Ensure plant controllers, EMS, and SCADA systems meet requirements for fast ramp buffering, export/import modes, and price/dispatch signals. Engineering Oversight: Supervise EPC and Owner’s Engineering in protection & controls, metering, communications/teleprotection, grounding, and relay settings. Procurement Management: Orchestrate procurement of long-lead items including transformers, breakers, reactors, capacitors, HV cables, transmission equipment, and 3rd-party BESS/Nat-Gas hardware. Construction Management: Enforce EPC safety standards, QA/QC processes, RFI/submittal discipline, and field productivity. Testing & Commissioning: Oversee pre-energization checkouts, relay/SCADA testing, staged energization, islanding/black-start trials, and microgrid performance validation. Stakeholder & Regulatory Management: Coordinate with utilities, ISOs, AHJs, and data center counterparts. Reporting & Controls: Maintain executive dashboards, track earned progress against financial milestones, and manage documentation and decision logs. What We Want From You Four (4) year degree in Electrical Engineering or technical degree with extensive practical work experience in high 100’s MW electrical and electro-mechanical applications. PMP Certification preferred 15–20+ years in utility-scale power operations with 5+ years leading 24/7 operations or a control room and experience dealing with emergencies. Able to work with confidential information in a professional manner. Abilities as a demonstrated team builder for not only safety and security culture, but also morale. Demonstrated success meeting strict SLAs for industrial or data-center customers.
