Job Summary This position provides quality leadership and has full responsibility for Site Quality regarding the Quality Management System (QMS), customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, across the product life cycle from development through production, supply chain, and product support.

Essential Functions

Directly lead and manage functional quality organization on a day-to-day basis to meet all Aerospace AS9100 Quality Management System requirements

Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) within Product Development/New Product Introduction by integrating organization, industry, and customer quality requirements into new design development projects using AS9145

Effectively manage the supply base quality performance over the lifecycle, ensuring purchased materials meet requirements and applicable regulations

Establish a zero-defect culture by leading deployment and continuous improvement based on AS9145

Ensure effectiveness of measurement and monitoring systems to improve key metrics

Develop and implement a quality organization structure to support strategic initiatives, integrate quality into development of short and long-term business plans, and coordinate resources

Lead efforts to define and train employees on root-cause analysis and problem-solving tools to identify effective corrective actions/process improvements

Establish statistical data collection and analysis systems to predict quality trends

Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues, coordinate product/component failure analysis, drive corrective action, and inspection of all program hardware to J-STD-001, IPC610, and supplier quality improvements

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years Quality Assurance experience in defense, space electronics, or high-end aerospace industry (additional automotive experience is a plus)

5+ years in a management role

Experience with advanced product quality planning in high reliability product development and new product introduction

Experience with DCMA, DLA

Experience with electronics manufacturing methods including IPC-610 Class 3, IPC J-STD-001, MIL-PRF-38534 Hybrid Electronics

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE preferred, ME, MSc., Chem) from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience with APQP tools: Process Flow Diagram, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Process Capability, SPC

AS9100 Auditor experience, Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQM, CQE

Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
