About The Role
The Legal Operations Specialist helps the WEG Legal Team provide top‑notch service to internal clients by gathering information in support of contract review or litigation, directing matters to the right attorney, providing or assisting with actionable reports, and ensuring commitments are met. The role involves preparing initial NDA drafts, using the CLM system to analyze third‑party contracts for compliance with WEG’s US contracting standards, providing timely feedback to improve deal flow, and ensuring executed contracts are properly stored. Based on performance, the position may include due diligence in M&A, discovery in litigation, and sensitive investigations.
Primary Responsibilities
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a keen eye for inconsistencies and errors, and solid communication skills.
Monitor all aspects of the contract lifecycle: generate drafts, analyze contracts via CLM, route matters, provide timely info, store executed contracts, and monitor obligations and expiration dates.
Monitor incoming contract requests and take initiative to gather additional information or support Legal Team members.
Assist the General Counsel with investigations, fact‑finding on employment matters and disputes.
Assist the General Counsel with day‑to‑day activities and projects across legal subject matter.
Maintain state corporate filings for the Company and subsidiaries.
Monitor the legal calendar (service of process, hearing dates, deadlines, depositions, meetings, conferences, vacations).
Maintain accurate and complete legal files and proofread documents.
Perform administrative duties: maintain lawyers’ calendars, schedule appointments, mail letters, compile documentation, coordination of travel.
Promote good communication with internal clients and team members.
Assist attorneys with expense reports and legal research as assigned.
Process legal vendor invoices.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of all legal matters.
Experience
3+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge/Training (preferred)
Basic contract principles.
Education
Bachelor’s in Business or related Pre‑Law coursework preferred.
