C2R Management is seeking a Facilities Manager for a portfolio of buildings in Northern Manhattan.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day building operations, maintenance, and capital improvements for a portfolio of rent-stabilized, mixed use and market-rate multifamily buildings located in Northern Manhattan. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of building systems, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with on-site superintendents, vendors, and management. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and maintenance across multiple residential buildings. Supervise and support building superintendents, porters, and in-house maintenance staff. Manage vendor relationships and service contracts (boilers, elevators, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with NYC building codes, HPD, DOB, FDNY, and DEP regulations. Schedule and manage preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. Coordinate capital improvement and renovation projects with ownership and contractors. Monitor operating budgets and recommend cost-saving measures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, violations, and compliance filings. Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in property or facilities management, preferably in NYC multifamily housing. Working knowledge of NYC housing codes, Local Laws (e.g., LL84, LL87, LL152), and building compliance. Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with property management software. Prior experience running a team, managing rent-stabilized housing and working with building staff.
