CMT Education Program Specialist (Hybrid)
The Community Medicine MD Track (CMT) is a new regional clinical campus of the College of Medicine that operates out of Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. Medical students complete their first two years of medical school in Columbus before relocating to Lima for the last two years of their education. The mission of the CMT is to prepare physicians to practice in smaller cities and rural communities with the goal of improving health and well-being in Ohio and beyond. Position Summary The CMT Education Program Specialist will provide professional-level administrative support by coordinating, organizing and delivering the third year and fourth year curricula for medical students; Communicates with faculty, team members, students, and colleagues at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s and other regional health systems, as well as the College of Medicine, to facilitate the effective implementation of the curricula; Assumes primary responsibility for the implementation of the curricula on a day-to-day basis, including reviewing course materials, proctoring exams, arranging for clinical placements, and collaborating with team members to ensure effective curricular delivery in advance of deadlines. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen. Additional Desired Qualifications Experience working with adult learners. Experience in program coordination, implementation, and planning, in a university or hospital setting is strongly desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. There are two open positions for this role. These positions will be located in Lima, Ohio at Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center.
