QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIANMonday – Friday, mandatory overtime as needed2:00 pm – 10:30 pm$17.25 per hour10:00pm – 6:30am$17.50 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receive and review shift reports from the previous shift
Inspect meat slurry for expiration, sensory defects, color, and viscosity
Perform checks on bags, lot codes, best-by dates, solochain LPs, and correct bag sizes
Verify production paperwork to ensure correct formulas are used
Communicate quality concerns to packaging operators and supervisors
Inspect transfer trailers for debris, mold, or structural damage
Check tote sacks for holes and ensure plaques are intact
Visually inspect finished good pallets for release and transport readiness
Inspect production machinery for cleanliness and proper operation
Stock gloves in designated work areas
Maintain organization of the retain/shelf-life study room
Assist with packaging tasks when needed (e.g., stacking, labeling, boxing)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
2–3 years of experience in quality control, food safety, or related field
Strong computer skills and statistical analysis capability
Ability to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders daily
Strong attention to visual detail at close range
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Adhere strictly to safety and GMP policies
Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple production areas
