About This Role The Project Controller at Crux Subsurface will provide support in the areas of job costing, financial reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, project execution, and project controls—liaising with the corporate accounting office, subcontractors, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
Collaborate with the Contract Administrator, Project Management, and Project Controls to monitor and identify contract change orders and budget revisions, ensuring completion of appropriate process.
Manage outstanding change orders (COs); assist Project Management in all aspects of change management, including CO creation to closeout during invoicing.
Manage DBE Utilization Reporting.
Prepare project invoices and process necessary corrections.
Monitor invoice deadlines and prepare client billings, including draft and final invoices with applicable backup per client or project requirements.
Provide project execution and accounting support: project accounting from contract award through completion; forecast costs, revenue, and cash flow; project specific compliance, status reporting, and other requested activities.
Develop, analyze, and distribute financial information using Ecosys and other reporting software to appraise operating results against budget.
Assist Project Management in Ecosys to verify and reconcile accurate project costs, revenue, and reporting; analyze actual, committed, and planned costs for EAC.
Review subcontractor invoices for compliance with contract.
Reconcile accounts receivable variances; research unbilled issues to optimize billing.
Ensure timely receipt of subcontractor invoices and required backups; develop tools and checks to ensure consistent delivery of invoices to clients.
Follow up with clients on overdue payments.
Assist with document management and record retention from startup to closeout.
Provide internal audit services to ensure integrity of division financials.
Develop and maintain positive relations within project team and with vendors and customers.
Assist enforcement of company policies, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
Prepare documentation for internal and external audits as needed.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Project Accounting, including expertise in the Percentage of Completion Method used in Construction Accounting.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Project Accounting role within an Engineering/Procure/Construct (EPC) environment.
Compensation Range The anticipated compensation for this position is $180,000 – $200,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
