Marketing Coordinator - Business Development
Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a Marketing Coordinator for the Business Development and Corporate Giving team. This role supports the implementation of marketing strategies, brand management activities, and stewardship for corporate partners, donors, sponsors, and prospective companies. The position helps drive awareness, acquisition, and fundraising among WWP corporate partners and related stakeholders. Responsibilities
Assist in supporting marketing plans related to Corporate Giving objectives, collaborating with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Specialist. Assist with corporate partnership proposals by providing formatting and clarity as requested. Support creative/content development and tracking; manage timelines for assets related to marketing plans, campaigns, and contract implementation (e.g., messaging, print collateral, website content, email communications, multimedia assets, digital ads, radio, and TV). Coordinate the preparation of Corporate Partner reports and contribute metrics for marketing-related exposure per partner contract. Update collateral materials (pitch decks, proposals, one-sheets, and other resources) within WWP branding and messaging guidelines for use by the Corporate Partnership team and external partners. Perform print and data proofing and provide feedback to internal stakeholders. Support brand compliance and consistency across WWP marketing initiatives and partner campaign materials (e.g., messaging framework, visual assets, key terminology). Assist with maintaining Corporate Giving web page updates and Corporate Partner branding exposure. Assist with research on corporate giving trends and creative best practices across marketing platforms. Support, attend, or participate in WWP events, campaigns, and other initiatives as required. Provide general project support for the Marketing – Business Development team. Support overall Donor Engagement Marketing team initiatives. Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings (e.g., New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team-based training, departmental huddles). Other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong editing and proofreading skills. Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all work. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships at all levels of the organization. Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and escalate issues as needed. Dependable, resourceful, and efficient. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Two years of experience in marketing, communications, business development, corporate partnerships, or a related field. One year of experience supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns or initiatives. One year of experience creating, updating, or proofreading marketing collateral, proposals, or presentations. Education
Associate’s degree in public relations, advertising, marketing, communications, business, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, marketing, communications, business, or related field. Certifications & Licensure
None required. Work Environment / Physical Demands
General office environment; temperature controlled. Up to 10% travel.
