Duties & Responsibilities The position is a Project Administrator within the Psychology Department, working with Dr. Michael Southam-Gerow and Dean Gary Cuddeback, and is named CPST Program Manager within the Center for Evidence‑based Partnerships in Virginia (https://www.cep-va.org). It is funded by state contracts and runs at the university level.

The core focus is to develop, maintain, and update a curriculum for workers across Virginia for the new Medicaid service, Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST), which includes a cognitive‑behavioral model for adults and the Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) program for youth.

Develop the training curriculum for CPST adult and CPST youth in collaboration with VCU staff and state agency partners.

Maintain the curriculum on the state‑based learning management system (TRAIN).

Interact with workers accessing the curriculum across Virginia.

Update the CPST curriculum as needed.

Coordinate with the CEP‑Va team to keep training‑status data current.

Duties require knowledge of evidence‑based programs, strong teamwork orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate data‑based findings to a broad audience. The role may involve reimbursable travel around Virginia to attend events and meetings with partners.

The VCU job series for this position is Program Manager in the General Administration job family.

The contract term is until 06/30/2026, with the possibility of renewal; the ideal candidate is interested in two or more years in the role. Continuation depends on grant funding and is a one‑year position with potential renewal.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Master’s (or doctoral degree) in social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field, or equivalent experience.

Past experience with evidence‑based treatment approaches.

Strong organizational skills and fastidious attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Openness and willingness to engage in team discussions related to social justice.

Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students, or a commitment to do so as staff at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of or experience with cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBT‑P), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), or other variations of CBT for adults or youth.

Familiarity with learning management systems, especially TRAIN.

Learning related to implementation science within medical or behavioral health services.

Interest and appreciation for innovative online tools and digital workspaces (e.g., Qualtrics, Slack, Hive).

Salary Range $65,000 – $85,000
