Quality Control Inspector
Job Description We are seeking a mechanical Quality Control Technician to join an electronic manufacturing company in Plano on a 6-month contract basis. This role involves performing quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing process to ensure products meet specified standards.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints and specifications to understand product requirements.
Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards.
Recommend adjustments to assembly or production processes.
Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
Measure products using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
Operate inspection equipment effectively.
Accept or reject finished items based on quality standards.
Remove products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
Report inspection and testing data accurately.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a QC Inspector or similar position.
Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Ability to read manufacturing drawings (DWGs) and symbols.
Strong math skills for data reporting, measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications.
Availability to work overtime as needed.
Experience with entering data into ERP systems, specifically Costpoint.
High school diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in visual inspection and cable inspection.
Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
Physical strength to lift packages by hand as needed.
Self-starter with reliability and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Work Environment The work environment is climate-controlled within an electronic manufacturing setting. The role involves standing most of the day with some squatting and sitting in a work chair. The position requires lifting up to 25 pounds multiple times per day, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plano, Texas.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
