The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic
Transportation Team Leader / Project Manager
to take the reins of our
Central Texas Transportation Group , providing leadership across planning and design for
TxDOT roadway construction projects .
This position is ideal for a
current Project Manager
ready to step into a broader leadership role or an
existing Team Lead
looking to join a firm with deep resources, stability, and a pipeline of challenging, high-profile projects.
You’ll be backed by a highly respected management team and inherit an experienced group of engineers and designers focused on roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Central Texas Transportation Group, managing multiple roadway design and TxDOT construction projects.
Serve as
Project Manager , ensuring projects are completed successfully within scope, schedule, and budget.
Provide day-to-day
technical guidance, QA/QC oversight , and project management direction to project managers and production staff.
Build and maintain strong
client relationships , leading pursuits and positioning the firm for continued growth.
Develop and execute group business and marketing plans in collaboration with the Practice Leader and Business Group Director.
Oversee project accounting, workload projections, and staffing plans.
Recruit, mentor, and develop technical staff while maintaining high morale and design quality.
Stay current with
TxDOT standards, roadway engineering principles, and evolving technologies .
Represent the firm through active participation in
local, state, and national professional organizations .
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in
Civil Engineering .
Licensed
Professional Engineer (PE)
in Texas (or ability to obtain).
7+ years
of experience in roadway design and transportation engineering.
Proficiency in
MicroStation
and
OpenRoads Designer .
Experience with
TxDOT design standards, processes, and precertifications
preferred.
Proven track record managing roadway projects from concept through construction.
Demonstrated leadership experience — team management, project delivery, and business development.
