Overview Production Supervisor (Day Shift) at Berry Global, Inc. Responsibilities include leading hourly production employees to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and service goals, ensuring optimal staffing, training, and performance management while maintaining compliance with operational standards. The Supervisor will oversee shift operations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and act as a key point of contact in the absence of the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

Act as a safety leader and ensure all activities align with Amcor’s EHS policies and goals.

Lead daily shift operations, ensuring machines run according to specifications and production schedules.

Monitor and record production data using systems such as Web EFF and SAP.

Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure smooth transitions and continuity.

Provide training and lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and performance reviews.

Support hiring decisions and employee development in collaboration with HR and leadership.

Investigate and resolve equipment, material, and process issues in coordination with Maintenance and Engineering.

Champion continuous improvements and eliminate wasteful practices.

Maintain accurate records of departmental activities, raw material usage, and inventory.

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, goal setting, and consistent feedback.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable laws.

What We Want From You

High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Experience with cast and /or blown film extrusion is a plus.

Proficiency in computer systems (MS Office, SAP preferred).

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports.

Physical ability to meet the demands of a manufacturing environment, including lifting, standing, and operating near machinery.
