Retail Service Specialist – O'Reilly Auto Parts We are looking for a Retail Service Specialist who will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position also assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager.

Compensation Pay Range $16.00 – $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premium components.

Essential Job Functions

Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.

Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.

Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.

Process buy online/ship to store, hub, store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders timely and notify customers upon shipment arrivals.

Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently, following procedure and using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.

Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly.

Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.

Communicate Zipline messages and delegate image maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.

Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules, with changes approved by management, and clock in/out per company policy.

Perform all store opening/closing duties including day‑end procedures, securing deposits, preparing bank deposits, locking doors, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.

All other duties as assigned.

Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities Required

Strong communication skills

Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Desired

Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts

Automotive systems and repair knowledge

ASE Certification

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
