Responsibilities

Schedule surgical appointments and monitor cancellations, keeping daily schedule accurate and current.

Complete necessary paperwork prior to pre-op appointments and obtain referrals and authorizations.

Follow up with appropriate departments to ensure all pre-op results are available prior to the procedure.

Inform patients regarding activities that will take place during the visit and provide pamphlet of appropriate surgical facility.

Apprise patients of financial responsibilities prior to the date of the procedure.

Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.

Qualifications Education : High School diploma or equivalent.

Certification and Licensing : Not Applicable.

Experience : Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills And Attitudes

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Proficiency in computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
