The HDR Transportation program is ranked #1 in Bridges, 5th in Transportation, and 5th in Highways by Engineering News-Record. We collaborate with clients to realize possibilities through custom solutions based on industry trends. Our experience includes over five decades of research and projects involving steel girder bridges, movable and complex bridges, river crossings, historical bridges, and interchanges. Our Transportation Business Group in Kentucky / Tennessee / Arkansas seeks career-minded professionals to join our bridges and structures team. The role involves managing moderate to large projects and working independently on smaller projects, leading a transportation team across multiple sectors including DOT, transit, aviation, ports/maritime, and CEI. Primary Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate work of multidisciplinary teams throughout project lifecycle. Manage all aspects of small to medium projects or routine large projects. Oversee multiple projects concurrently. Maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Conduct work sessions with stakeholders for deliverable development. Coordinate staffing and workload, ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Monitor financial aspects and adjust work efforts to stay within budgets and schedules. Collaborate with leadership for project reviews. Implement QA/QC procedures. Perform additional duties as needed. #LI-BC2 Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of experience in bridges and structures. Strong business development skills with a history of project acquisition. Experience managing projects for DOT or municipalities. Willingness to work full-time on-site at client or project offices. Preference for candidates located in Arkansas, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville. Familiarity with Microstation, Open Roads, Geopak, Inroads, or similar software. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. At least 10 years of related experience. Minimum 5 years of project management experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus. Leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills. Commitment to our employee-owned culture.
