Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events. Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity. Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects; perform face painting and other activities as needed. Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards. Communicate events with clients and store team members; adjust plans based on client feedback and needs. Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed. Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed and ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events. Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event. Customer Experience
Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions; provide a fast and friendly checkout experience. Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey; participate in Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram (POG) processes; complete merchandise recovery and maintenance; perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned. Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies; interact with others in a respectful manner and model company values. Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production; participate in daily store cleanliness activities. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Energetic and enthusiastic personality with the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests of all ages and co-workers. Excellent people skills; good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal; strong listening abilities. Organizational and creative problem-solving skills. Retail and/or customer service experience required; experience working with children and children's events preferred. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching. Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment; some nights, weekends, and early mornings may be required. Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; potential outdoor work when retrieving carts or unloading trucks; frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
