As the Maintenance and Damage Leader, Autonomous Vehicles , you will lead a team responsible for the overall performance of the Fleet Maintenance function, including vehicle maintenance, repair, and in-fleeting/de-fleeting of autonomous ride-hail vehicles. Your work will focus on maximizing fleet utilization and profitability while ensuring ride-hail customers in the Dallas market have access to clean, well-maintained autonomous vehicles when needed.

What You’ll Do :

Own the P&L for the fleet maintenance function for the Market

Develop, implement and communicate standard operating plans to maximize fleet uptime to business and company guidelines, directing and controlling the maintenance, repair and/or reconditioning of autonomous ride-hail vehicles, which may include activities relating to in-fleeting/de-fleeting of autonomous vehicles into the fleet, to meet regulatory, safety and performance standards

Manage performance of team members/employees against business plan by setting, communicating, monitoring and updating goals as needed for key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis for maintenance and repair, including, but not limited to, fleet uptime, technician productivity, response time, out of service time, and vendor cycle time

Forecast, budget and manage key financial drivers including, but not limited to, S&W per day, warranty recovery and cost per repair.

Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative data analysis to generate strategic and tactical decisions to implement continuous process improvements to maximize fleet and reduce off-grid time

Responsible for the coordination of automotive damage appraisals/repairs and all activities related to repairs, inspections, and maintenance including documentation and the ordering of parts, tools, and supplies

Partner with the respective Depot Operations Leader and Managers, and/or the partner’s product, engineering, IT, and other departments to prioritize the workload to accomplish the needs of the business

Partner with ABG supply chain, IT, facilities, procurement and other departments to leverage scale and expertise

Initiate, oversee, manage and maintain vendor relationships and workload assignment, ensuring established service levels and standards are met and that all vendor management policies and procedures are followed

Manage all areas of the employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, training, recognition, motivation, development and performance management to enable a high-performance culture

Manage all facets of employee relations, including, but not limited to, implementing HR policies and practices in a consistent and fair manner, in accordance with Company policies and partnering with Human Resources Business Partners where appropriate

Provide a safe work environment by ensuring all safety policies and practices are followed and maintained, partnering with Safety where appropriate

What We’re Looking For:

High School diploma required; 2-4 year college degree preferred (or equivalent in education, training or experience)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field (supply chain operations, logistics, fleet management, rental car, ride hail, mobility services or related service industries) of progressive operations and logistics management, including managing a team of people

Demonstrated exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills with a successful track record working in highly matrixed environments

Excellent organization and prioritization skills, self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Strong financial acumen and forecasting skills

Solid understanding of electric vehicles (EVs) and electric safety awareness

Familiarity with depot operations, vehicle readiness, and parts management

Strong written and oral communication skills

Proficient in data analytics and problem-solving skills

Excellent employee leadership, talent management and delegation skills

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel

Valid driver’s license, authorized to work in the United States and successful completion of pre-employment qualification checks

Ability to work flexible schedules in a fast-paced environment that may include early morning, nights, or weekends, as determined by business needs

Willingness to travel

This is an on-site, in-person role.
