Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and strategic
Business Analyst
to join our Affinity North America team, reporting to the VP of Portfolio & Project Management. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between business needs and our Salesforce platform, driving successful implementations and optimizing the value derived from our CRM investment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ERP transitions, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and effective Salesforce solutions.
This role can be fully remote/virtual/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US.
How You'll Make An Impact
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Bridge the gap between business units, IT and Salesforce resources
Collaborate extensively with business and IT stakeholders across various departments (DevOps, Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, etc.) to understand current processes, pain points, and future needs.
Conduct in-depth discussions, workshops, etc. to elicit detailed business requirements.
Analyze existing business and IT processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and enhancement within the Salesforce platform.
Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
Define and validate acceptance criteria within user stories.
Keep both requirements and the overall project within scope, as well as identify any potential scope creep.
Solution Design & Configuration
Leverage your knowledge of Salesforce Financial Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc. to provide feedback on designing scalable solutions.
Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Solution Architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with overall architectural standards.
Ensure alignment between business process owners and technical teams to drive solution integrity.
Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Implementations & Testing Support
Create detailed documentation, including functional specifications, process diagrams, and assist with general training user support.
Assist with creating comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Assist with supporting and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), guiding users through testing cycles and managing defect resolution.
Assist with data migration strategies and execution.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Act as a key liaison between business users, technical teams, and project management.
Facilitate effective communication, translating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and vice versa.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
Stay current with new Salesforce features, releases, and best practices.
Proactively identify opportunities for Salesforce platform optimization and efficiency gains.
Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of business analysis methodologies and tools.
Monitor and manage data integrity within the Salesforce platform.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise‑scale digital transformation programs.
Experience with CRMS and AMS platforms such as Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years specifically focused on Salesforce implementations.
Experience in insurance benefit administration and/or financial services.
Proven experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both IT and Business users.
Experience with data integration tools and strategies.
Experience using various CRMs and Policy Admin Systems.
Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred.
Familiarity with DevOps practices in Salesforce environments preferred.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Smartsheet preferred.
Experience with the Microsoft application suite such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
Compensation And Benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
