Summary The Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Coordinator/Educator is responsible for facilitating the development of clinical excellence in assigned areas through active participation in system/campus/unit based education. Provides ERAS education for the patients pre‑operatively, rounds on the hospital ERAS patients post‑operatively, collects and compiles patient data pertaining to Lee Health ERAS protocol adherence and evaluates patient outcomes in collaboration with the Surgeon Advisor for Quality and Safety. Designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs that facilitate the professional growth, skill development, initial/ongoing competence, and attainment of standards of care for direct care providers for assigned units. Education programs will be developed, implemented, and evaluated using nursing theory, nursing clinical expertise, standards of practice, and adult education principles. Actively participates and collaborates in multi‑disciplinary unit, campus and system wide performance improvement teams to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, staff competence, and standards of care.

Master’s in Nursing (Required)

Experience Requirements
5 Years Clinical Nursing (Required)
Clinical Education (Preferred)
At least five years bedside clinical experience in an acute care setting. Formal or informal teaching experience in acute care setting preferred.
Licensure Requirements
Registered Nurse License (Required)
Certifications / Registration Requirements
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) (Required)
ACLS (American Heart Association / Advanced Cardiac Life Support) (Preferred)
Additional Requirements AHA Basic Life Support current card for at least 90 days after hire date. ACLS// TNCC// ENPC or other as mandated by VP/Director// and completed by timeline given. Professional certification in a designated specialty is preferred// or Professional Nursing Development.
Other Requirements Demonstrates a commitment to life‑long learning. Membership in professional/academic organizations is preferred. Basic computer skills; MS Windows, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
