Position Overview Join the commercial vehicle licensing branch of our Commerce and Compliance Division. In this role, you will evaluate current program operations, research trends, recommend improvements, develop goals, and perform program reviews to ensure compliance and quality of services within the division.

Day in the Life – Responsibilities

Coordinate, compile and analyze business needs and translate them into business processes.

Lead project teams by assigning duties and providing oversight.

Evaluate projects to ensure results meet intended goals and meet quality standards.

Coordinate reports and data requests.

Coordinate implementation of new initiatives.

Collaborate with staff to identify process issues and develop solutions.

Coordinate with team members to ensure internal and external websites are up‑to‑date and relevant for intended audiences.

Perform program reviews to evaluate regulation compliance and quality of service.

Prepare written summaries of research and analysis results.

Work in a typical office environment; may be required to work irregular hours in the event of a system outage.

Hybrid work options available up to 3 days per week after initial training period.

Minimum Qualifications Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification related to data or policy analysis. OR a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or a degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional‑level evaluative, analytical and planning work related to data or policy analysis.

Preferred Qualifications – What We’d Like To See

Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Strong critical thinking and program improvement skills; effectively evaluate program‑related problems and recommend creative solutions.

Outstanding written communication skills including external communications, formal written analysis and written policy.

Effective verbal communication skills including guiding or educating peers or customers.

Foundational understanding of computer systems and technical functions, and the ability to convey needed system changes to technical staff.
