Job Purpose Position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required. Communicate transitional information from night shift to day shift. Manage any staff assigned to shift, including employee performance reviews and any disciplinary actions. Oversee all computer entry work and paperwork flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assign work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, considering customer specifications and driver departure times to meet delivery schedules.
Oversee the loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications.
Supervise local, regional, and OTR drivers; communicate updates and workflow changes.
Review deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials; alert Customer Service Rep, Warehouse Manager, and COO of any problems with clear information or pictures if necessary.
Oversee and assign the processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning of BOLs.
Ensure all shipments are recorded, verified, and accurate against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
Monitor the quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications.
Ensure department staff meets customer requirements and is updated on any changes; train staff accordingly.
Update the Tee Card board and TMW system.
Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries as needed, implementing required actions.
Communicate via e-mail before the end of each shift to ensure a smooth transition of daily workflow, issues, customer concerns, or maintenance problems.
Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies.
Oversee completion of all computer data entry; verify accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain and approve all shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll; correct temp hours and monitor overtime.
Complete daily building checks; notify Warehouse Director of equipment or building problems and assist with preventive maintenance.
Ensure warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines; verify AIB training for handling food products.
Ensure proper accident reporting procedures; coordinate care of injured employees and notify HR and management of emergency actions.
Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO.

Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.
Dispatch experience.
Dock supervision experience.
Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software (a plus).
Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
Education and Experience Required
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Some college preferred.
