Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is a rapidly growing, national specialty litigation firm seeking an experienced legal assistant to join our Columbus office. This is a 100% in-office position and remote work is not available. Base pay range: $24.04/hr - $45.88/hr. This range is provided by Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities
Draft and review legal correspondence, thoroughly proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. Prepare and collect conflict of interest checks, open new files, and maintain client files. Maintain attorneys’ calendars with dates of importance. Familiar with State and Federal court filings, including submission of electronic filings. Organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Qualifications
2+ years of litigation secretarial experience. Positive attitude and ability to effectively communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients. Knowledge of iManage and Outlook is a plus. Must successfully pass a background and drug screen. What we offer
