Location: Orange County, CA
Practice Area: Insurance Defense – Personal Injury & Catastrophic Injury
About the Role:
A well‑established insurance defense litigation firm seeks a dedicated and energetic
Litigation Legal Assistant
to support attorneys in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment focused on personal injury and catastrophic injury matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage case intake and opening procedures
Maintain attorney calendars and ensure all deadlines are met
Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in California Superior, Federal, and Appellate courts
Draft and revise pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Coordinate expert designations and depositions
Track trial‑triggered deadlines and assist with trial preparation
Prepare and organize trial documents, including motions in limine and exhibit binders
Communicate professionally with clients and insurance carriers via phone and email
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a civil litigation legal assistant or legal secretary in a fast‑paced law firm
Personal injury experience preferred; construction defect experience is a plus
Strong understanding of California court rules and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
No paralegal hybrid role
Casual attire Monday through Friday
