Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Coordinator to manage and enhance the department’s administrative operations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and problem-solver who can partner closely with departmental leadership to streamline operations, align internal workflows with university procedures, and support long-term initiatives. Strong skills in coordination, delegation, and independent judgment are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities Ensures the smooth execution of departmental priorities by overseeing a wide range of functions including executive support, event coordination, facilities management, safety compliance, data systems, and accreditation support. Working closely with departmental leadership, the Administrative Coordinator serves as the central point for aligning internal office workflows with university procedures, supporting strategic initiatives, and maintaining operational continuity.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus two years progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education or comparable complex organization. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Familiarity with academic policy, HR Processes, basic budgeting workflows, and project management tools. Excellent interpersonal communication, stakeholder facilitation, data-analysis, and change-management skills. Excellent computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn new program Preferred Qualifications: The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Supervisory experience over multi-functional staff teams. Exposure to accreditation standards and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency with enterprise systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, and Tableau.
