SALARY:
Based on Teacher Salary Schedule
Position Summary:
Plan and deliver a high-quality mathematics program that motivates and inspires students to proficiently acquire mathematics concepts.
Minimum Responsibilities:
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate these objectives to students.
Demonstrate solid knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques used to teach mathematics at the secondary level.
Develop and present lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation, consistent with the district curriculum and standards.
Implement curriculum content that emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning and integrates relevant technological resources.
Show appropriate long and short-term preparation for classroom instruction.
Hold high expectations for all students and facilitate their learning.
Use a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize student learning.
Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
Offer academic support and challenge opportunities.
Teach the district curriculum as outlined in curriculum documents.
Stay updated on developments in the field and deepen subject matter expertise.
Maintain a functional, attractive, orderly, and safe classroom environment that fosters community.
Participate in school functions, including non-instructional duties and student management.
Keep complete records as required by law and policy.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school and district activities.
Attend meetings and activities outside regular hours, such as professional development, parent conferences, and staff meetings.
Perform other related work as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Secondary Mathematics Certification
