Overview Columbia University School of Nursing is seeking to hire one short-term casual employee to provide survey research support for several NIH-funded projects focusing on primary care, the healthcare workforce, and the care and outcomes of older adults with chronic diseases, including dementia. The selected candidates will collaborate with other researchers to complete research tasks and will work closely with the team to support various aspects of the research lifecycle, from literature reviews to presentation preparation. There is a possibility of additional hours (the limit is 20 hours per week), depending on project needs.
Responsibilities
Assisting with literature reviews, grant, manuscript, and presentation preparation.
Supporting survey data collection.
Assisting with data cleaning, preparation, management, and analysis.
Participating in research meetings.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
This position is grant-funded, and continued employment will be contingent upon the grant.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of/experience in a health-related field.
Experience with or interest in research projects, particularly survey data collection, management, and analysis.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Background and/or experience with health-related research is highly preferred.
Experience with qualitative methods (interview design, coding, etc.).
A master’s degree in a related field (complete or in progress) is highly preferred.
